Contact gehad met Gor gedurende twee rechtzaken. Betrof een geschil met een huurbaas. Via het huurteam verwezen naar Avant Advocaten. Beide zaken gewonnen, prettig contact. Goed voorbereid op de zaak en hetgeen dat ook ik kon verwachten. Een enkele keer wat langer moeten wachten op een reactie.

I reached out to Avant advocaten three months ago via email, weeks went by without response so I called them. The phone call went really well and they then requested me to email them my contract which I immediately did. This email was then also ignored for about 3 weeks, I then once again called them to ask about this, they said they'd call me back soon. This was 4 weeks ago, I called them again a week ago and explained the situation to which they responded they'd call me back soon. I still haven't been contacted, very dissapointing considering the good reviews and the fact that my situation with my landlord has escalated a lot these past 3 months. Wouldn't waste your time here.

Via het Huurteam ben ik bij Avant Advocaten terechtgekomen. Dit gebeurde twee dagen voor mijn hoorzitting, maar de korte termijn heeft geen verschil gemaakt in de kwaliteit geleverd door Avant Advocaten.Specifiek ben ik ontzettend dankbaar voor advocaat Boris Stalpers. Hij legde mij vooraf uit wat ik kon verwachten en kon daarbij - niet onbelangrijk - ook een deel van mijn zenuwen wegnemen. Hij had zich duidelijk in de korte tijd goed ingelezen in de vele informatie die ik had opgestuurd.Verschillende deelnemers waren m.i. niet even helder tijdens dit proces, maar advocaat Stalpers wist alles aan het eind heel duidelijk samen te vatten. Ook voegde hij nog een zeer waardevolle opmerking toe over een schrijnende kwestie die specifiek in mijn zaak speelde. Dit laatste was voor mij echt buitengewoon fijn. Na maanden verkeren in een onprettige situatie, voelde het zo steunend dat hier aandacht aan kon worden besteed.Recent heb ik de zaak ook gewonnen en ik ben heel dankbaar voor de ondersteuning van mijn advocaat hierbij.

Via huurteam in contact gekomen met Avant Advocaten en Gor Gebrelian. Na de aanvankelijke goede eerste contacten geen contact meer kunnen krijgen. Op mailtjes wordt niet gereageerd. Geen idee of er ooit daadwerkelijk iets is uitgevoerd. Waardeloos.

Na anderhalf jaar ellende met mijn oud-verhuurder kwam ik via een andere advocaat terecht bij Patrick Folsche van Avant Advocaten. Hij prikte feilloos door alle huisjesmelkers-leugens en -excuses heen, zorgde dat gebreken werden opgelost en bedong uiteindelijk een flinke schadevergoeding. Aanrader.

I had a specific case with DUO that required assistance. The team assured me that they would help resolve the situation and informed me that would be filling out a form with DUO and I should get a response in a couple of weeks. However, despite my repeated attempts to get an update or confirmation that the form has been sent, I have been consistently told that they will get back to me, but they never do. Unfortunately, this lack of follow-through has been ongoing for the past 10 months. I’m quite disappointed

I stumbled upon Avant Advocaten by coincidence when my application for student finance had been rejected, and I was trying to figure out online if other international students had experienced a similar situation.As many European students, I was completing my postgraduate studies whilst trying to cover my costs with a part-time job. The student finance support would have been a great help, but the application process was tedious, and I was discouraged by DUO over the phone and via email several times, through claims that I later found out not being accurate.Immediately after reaching out to Avant Advocaten, Gor contacted me and with some very kind words happily took on my case. His professionalism has been impressive over the time of our contact, especially at the court hearing, where his showed up well-prepared.Overall, if you are a student and this story sounds familiar, I can only recommend their services, they do not charge the students for their work and through their great skills, chances are you'll also get compensated by DUO.

Helaas een erg slechte ervaring met dit advocatenbureau gehad. Op aanraden van de huurcommissie ben ik hiernaartoe gestapt en in contact gekomen met Patrick Folsche. Hij heeft mij toen netjes tewoord gestaan en mij alles uitgelegd over de procedure. Hij vroeg of ik nog wat gegevens wilde opsturen en dan zou hij meteen beginnen, werd mij verteld.Ik heb toen alles opgestuurd en kreeg vervolgens radiostilte. Er werd niet op mijn mailtjes gereageerd en ook als ik belde werd er elke keer gezegd dat ik zou worden teruggebeld omdat hij niet aanwezig was/in een meeting zat. Ik denk dat ik toen zo'n vier maanden later eindelijk pas weer wat hoorde met het excuus: wat gek dat je zolang niks van ons gehoord hebt. Toen werd mij verteld dat ze nu echt zouden beginnen maar dat dat pas kon als alles naar de raad van rechtsbijstand gestuurd was. Dit werd echter niet gedaan, terwijl ze wel alles hadden wat nodig was. Ik heb hier bijna een half jaar lang voor gebeld en gemaild zonder gehoor. Elke keer als ik belde werd er gezegd dat ik teruggebeld zou worden, en als ik dan zei dat dat nooit gebeurde werd er gezegd dat het nu wél echt zou gebeuren. Nou drie keer raden, niet dus. De receptioniste reageerde ook elke keer een beetje kortaf en passief, alsof het normaal is om iemand elke keer naar de muur te sturen.Uiteindelijk is zonder communicatie (lees: 2,5e maand radiostilte) er toch wel iets aangevraagd bij de raad van rechtsbijstand nadat ik al had gebeld dat ik naar een andere advocaat wilde stappen en dat het van mij niet meer hoefde.Ik ben echt de moeilijkste niet en ben heel geduldig geweest, maar deze communicatie is echt ontzettend onprofessioneel. Ik heb letterlijk een jaar gewacht, voordat ik besloot om maar gewoon naar een andere advocaat te stappen. Als je het te druk hebt, zeg dat dan. Ook als er een andere reden is. Maar iemand radiostilte geven kan gewoon echt niet.

Op aanraden van het Huurteam ben ik bij Avant Advocaten terechtgekomen en gekoppeld aan advocaat Boris Stalpers. Hij heeft mij tijdens de gehele zaak professioneel en duidelijk geholpen. Het contact via de mail en telefoon was uitstekend en waar nodig was de heer Stalpers altijd bereid mij extra uitleg te geven of gerust te stellen. Hij is een advocaat die zich volledig voor zijn cliënten inzet, in mijn geval heeft hij zelfs het weekend voor de zaak nog de details doorgenomen. Bovendien creëert de heer Stalpers geen valse verwachtingen en komt hij zijn beloftes na. Ik ben ontzettend tevreden met zijn hulp, hij heeft de zaak verdedigd als een "ténor du barreau" (een topadvocaat)!

I have contacted Avant Advocaten at the end of last year, when I objected against a decision of DUO regarding my student financing. I have been dismissed for a long time by DUO and I simply could not push my case through alone. They changed my performance grant to a debt that I was asked to pay back, since I could not provide enough proof of working hours for them. It turned out that all EU students should receive equal treatment and this is something that DUO is hiding from international students. In the Netherlands, those who have a low income are entitled to state financed legal aid by another organization, which applies to the majority of students including me as well. This means that my case was free of charge and they are really compelled to help EU students in these cases. However, optionally you can support the organization that finances your case, but is not mandatory at all. Without the help of Avant Advocaten and Gor Gabrielan, I simply would not be able to push this through alone and I would be paying back my debt, while I was eligible for it. Their fast and accurate work, prompt answers and informative website helped me to calm down and ensured that my case is in the right hands. I can only recommend this firm and Gor Gabrielan, who was responsible for me throughout this case.I will be forever grateful for them!

Op advies van het huurteam contact met Avant opgenomen. Mijn huisgenoot is heel netjes te woord gestaan, en kreeg nog mee dat ik ook even moest bellen zodat hij mij ook gerust kon stellen.Over een span van 3 maanden ongeveer 6 keer gebeld, maar iedere keer was er niemand beschikbaar. Of Gor Gabrelian was wel op kantoor, maar in een meeting. Iedere keer een terugbelverzoek achtergelaten, waar een belofte bij kwam dat ik 'over twee uur' teruggebeld zou worden, maar nooit meer iets gehoord.Misschien dat ze goed zijn in hun werk als je ze te pakken kan krijgen, maar dit was vooral héél erg teleurstellend.

As a student working in the Netherlands, I was eligible to the student finance (including the student travel product). However, DUO refused to give it to me. Following, I am now fully eligible to the student finance. I reached out to Avant advocaten three months ago via email, weeks went by without response so I called them. The phone call went really well and they then requested me to email them my contract which I immediately did. This email was then also ignored for about 3 weeks, I then once again called them to ask about this, they said they'd call me back soon. This was 4 weeks ago, I called them again a week ago and explained the situation to which they responded they'd call me back soon. I still haven't been contacted, very dissapointing considering the good reviews and the fact that my situation with my landlord has escalated a lot these past 3 months. Wouldn't waste your time here.

Via het Huurteam ben ik bij Avant Advocaten terechtgekomen. Dit gebeurde twee dagen voor mijn hoorzitting, maar de korte termijn heeft geen verschil gemaakt in de kwaliteit geleverd door Avant Advocaten.Specifiek ben ik ontzettend dankbaar voor advocaat Boris Stalpers. Hij legde mij vooraf uit wat ik kon verwachten en kon daarbij - niet onbelangrijk - ook een deel van mijn zenuwen wegnemen. Hij had zich duidelijk in de korte tijd goed ingelezen in de vele informatie die ik had opgestuurd.Verschillende deelnemers waren m.i. niet even helder tijdens dit proces, maar advocaat Stalpers wist alles aan het eind heel duidelijk samen te vatten. Ook voegde hij nog een zeer waardevolle opmerking toe over een schrijnende kwestie die specifiek in mijn zaak speelde. Dit laatste was voor mij echt buitengewoon fijn. I had a specific case with DUO that required assistance. The team assured me that they would help resolve the situation and informed me that would be filling out a form with DUO and I should get a response in a couple of weeks. However, despite my repeated attempts to get an update or confirmation that the form has been sent, I have been consistently told that they will get back to me, but they never do. I stumbled upon Avant Advocaten by coincidence when my application for student finance had been rejected, and I was trying to figure out online if other international students had experienced a similar situation.As many European students, I was completing my postgraduate studies whilst trying to cover my costs with a part-time job. The student finance support would have been a great help, but the application process was tedious, and I was discouraged by DUO over the phone and via email several times, through claims that I later found out not being accurate.Immediately after reaching out to Avant Advocaten, Gor contacted me and with some very kind words happily took on my case. His professionalism has been impressive over the time of our contact, especially at the court hearing, where his showed up well-prepared.Overall, if you are a student and this story sounds familiar, I can only recommend their services, they do not charge the students for their work and through their great skills, chances are you'll also get compensated by DUO.

Helaas een erg slechte ervaring met dit advocatenbureau gehad. Op aanraden van de huurcommissie ben ik hiernaartoe gestapt en in contact gekomen met Patrick Folsche. Hij heeft mij toen netjes tewoord gestaan en mij alles uitgelegd over de procedure. Hij vroeg of ik nog wat gegevens wilde opsturen en dan zou hij meteen beginnen, werd mij verteld.Ik heb toen alles opgestuurd en kreeg vervolgens radiostilte. Er werd niet op mijn mailtjes gereageerd en ook als ik belde werd er elke keer gezegd dat ik zou worden teruggebeld omdat hij niet aanwezig was/in een meeting zat. Ik denk dat ik toen zo'n vier maanden later eindelijk pas weer wat hoorde met het excuus: wat gek dat je zolang niks van ons gehoord hebt. Toen werd mij verteld dat ze nu echt zouden beginnen maar dat dat pas kon als alles naar de raad van rechtsbijstand gestuurd was. Dit werd echter niet gedaan, terwijl ze wel alles hadden wat nodig was. Ik heb hier bijna een half jaar lang voor gebeld en gemaild zonder gehoor. Elke keer als ik belde werd er gezegd dat ik teruggebeld zou worden, en als ik dan zei dat dat nooit gebeurde werd er gezegd dat het nu wél echt zou gebeuren. Nou drie keer raden, niet dus. De receptioniste reageerde ook elke keer een beetje kortaf en passief, alsof het normaal is om iemand elke keer naar de muur te sturen.Uiteindelijk is zonder communicatie (lees: 2,5e maand radiostilte) er toch wel iets aangevraagd bij de raad van rechtsbijstand nadat ik al had gebeld dat ik naar een andere advocaat wilde stappen en dat het van mij niet meer hoefde.Ik ben echt de moeilijkste niet en ben heel geduldig geweest, maar deze communicatie is echt ontzettend onprofessioneel. Ik heb letterlijk een jaar gewacht, voordat ik besloot om maar gewoon naar een andere advocaat te stappen. Als je het te druk hebt, zeg dat dan. Ook als er een andere reden is. Maar iemand radiostilte geven kan gewoon echt niet.

Op aanraden van het Huurteam ben ik bij Avant Advocaten terechtgekomen en gekoppeld aan advocaat Boris Stalpers. Hij heeft mij tijdens de gehele zaak professioneel en duidelijk geholpen. Het contact via de mail en telefoon was uitstekend en waar nodig was de heer Stalpers altijd bereid mij extra uitleg te geven of gerust te stellen. Hij is een advocaat die zich volledig voor zijn cliënten inzet, in mijn geval heeft hij zelfs het weekend voor de zaak nog de details doorgenomen. I have contacted Avant Advocaten at the end of last year, when I objected against a decision of DUO regarding my student financing. I have been dismissed for a long time by DUO and I simply could not push my case through alone. They changed my performance grant to a debt that I was asked to pay back, since I could not provide enough proof of working hours for them. It turned out that all EU students should receive equal treatment and this is something that DUO is hiding from international students. In the Netherlands, those who have a low income are entitled to state financed legal aid by another organization, which applies to the majority of students including me as well. This means that my case was free of charge and they are really compelled to help EU students in these cases. However, optionally you can support the organization that finances your case, but is not mandatory at all. Without the help of Avant Advocaten and Gor Gabrielan, I simply would not be able to push this through alone and I would be paying back my debt, while I was eligible for it. Their fast and accurate work, prompt answers and informative website helped me to calm down and ensured that my case is in the right hands. I can only recommend this firm and Gor Gabrielan, who was responsible for me throughout this case.I will be forever grateful for them!

Op advies van het huurteam contact met Avant opgenomen. Mijn huisgenoot is heel netjes te woord gestaan, en kreeg nog mee dat ik ook even moest bellen zodat hij mij ook gerust kon stellen.Over een span van 3 maanden ongeveer 6 keer gebeld, maar iedere keer was er niemand beschikbaar. Of Gor Gabrelian was wel op kantoor, maar in een meeting. Iedere keer een terugbelverzoek achtergelaten, waar een belofte bij kwam dat ik 'over twee uur' teruggebeld zou worden, maar nooit meer iets gehoord.Misschien dat ze goed zijn in hun werk als je ze te pakken kan krijgen, maar dit was vooral héél erg teleurstellend.

As a student working in the Netherlands, I was eligible to the student finance (including the student travel product). However, DUO refused to give it to me.
