In recent years I have lived in Canada, South Korea, and Croatia. My international experiences are probably what sparked my love for international private law, the area of law in which I am doing my PhD research at Tilburg University. I also teach several courses at this university.
Outside the university domain, I act as a (binding) advisor in disputes with international private law aspects. In particular on matters of jurisdiction and governing law, both in complex and regular cases.
I am also affiliated with Avant Advocaten as an advisor. The law firm engages me in cross-border cases. Because of my background, I act as a contact person for offices based in Croatia and France.
In addition to law, I have a great passion for art and architecture. I have deepened my knowledge in this field with a Bachelor’s program at the University of Toronto and a Master’s program at the Université de Montréal.
