After studying chemistry and having worked for ten years as a software developer in various countries in Europe and abroad, I decided to follow my instincts. I started studying law because I want to help people in complex situations.
Thanks to my background, I am broadly apt, persevering, and analytical, which enables me to detect the proverbial needle in a haystack in complex cases. I combine this with pragmatism; if possible, I try to come up with a highly comprehensible and practical solution.
I have been living in the Alps for several years now, where I mainly advise office clients in the field of European and international private law. As an advisor at Avant Advocaten, I mainly deal with issues relating to international private law, corporate law, and insolvency law.
My background in software (development) developed my interest in IT law. In this field, I am one of the few people who can explain both the law and the technology.
